What we collect, and what we do with it.

Who this covers

This policy covers groundwork-marketing.com, run by Groundwork Marketing ("we", "us"), a marketing business serving trade and contractor businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It explains what information the site collects, why, who it goes to, and how to get it removed.

What we collect

Information you give us

There are two places on this site where you can hand us information, and both are things you choose to fill out:

• The chat widget.Your name, mobile phone number, and whatever you type in the message box. Submitting it means you have checked the consent box agreeing to be contacted by text and phone.
• The AI Opportunity Audit.Your name, email address, and the answers you give about your business, such as trade, call volume, average ticket, and response times. We use those answers to calculate the report you get back.

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, bank details, card numbers, or any government ID. If you send that kind of information anyway, we delete it.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, ours records some technical information when you visit:

• Analytics.We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which buttons get clicked. This is aggregate traffic data, not a file on you personally.
• Server and security logs.Our host, Cloudflare, logs IP addresses and browser user-agent strings to serve pages and block abuse.
• Visitor identification.We use a third-party service (RB2B) that attempts to identify the company associated with some business visitors. If you would rather not be included, use the opt-out link in the "Your choices" section below.

Text messages, in detail

This is the part most policies bury, so here it is up front.

• How you opt in.The only way to opt into text messages from us is by submitting the chat widget on this site with the consent box checked. We do not buy phone numbers, we do not import lists, and we do not text people who did not ask us to.
• What we send.Replies to your question, information about our services, appointment and follow-up messages, and occasional promotional messages about what we do.
• How often.Message frequency varies and depends on the conversation. There is no fixed number per week.
• Cost.Message and data rates may apply, charged by your carrier, not by us.
• How to stop.Reply STOP to any message and we stop. Reply HELP for help, or call (972) 217-8125.
• Consent is not required to buy anything.Agreeing to texts is not a condition of purchasing any service from us. You can hire us and never receive a text.

Your phone number and your consent to be texted are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing. Mobile opt-in data stays with us and the vendors that deliver our messages, described below.

Why we collect it

Narrow list, and this is all of it: to answer the question you asked, to send you the audit report you requested, to follow up about working together, to run and improve the website, and to meet legal and carrier requirements. We do not use your information to build profiles for sale, and we do not feed it to advertising networks for retargeting.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the vendors that make the site and our business run, and only so they can perform that job:

• HighLevel (LeadConnector).Our customer relationship and messaging platform. Your contact record and message history live here, and this is what sends our texts and emails.
• Cloudflare.Hosts the website and stores submitted leads.
• Google.Analytics 4 for aggregate website traffic reporting.
• RB2B.The business visitor identification service described above.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or where we need to in order to protect our rights or someone's safety.

How long we keep it

Contact records stay in our CRM while there is an active or possible business relationship, and for up to three years after the last contact, so we can honor opt-outs and answer questions about prior work. Records of a STOP request are kept indefinitely, because that is how we make sure we never text you again. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings. Ask us to delete your record sooner and we will.

Your choices

• Stop texts.Reply STOP to any message.
• Stop emails.Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask us directly.
• See or delete your data.Email [email protected] and tell us what you want. We will confirm who you are, then act on it within 30 days at no charge.
• Opt out of analytics.Install Google's browser opt-out add-on, or block analytics with your browser's privacy settings.
• Opt out of visitor identification.Use the RB2B opt-out at rb2b.com/opt-out.

Texas residents, and residents of states with similar laws, have the right to know what personal information we hold, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to not be discriminated against for asking. Use the email above and we will handle it.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS everywhere. Submitted information travels encrypted and is stored with the vendors listed above, each of which maintains its own security program. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we do not retain data we do not need and we do not keep sensitive financial or identity documents at all.

Children

This site is for business owners. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use information you already gave us will be communicated directly.
